Nestled on the slopes of the Swiss plateau, between the Broye and Glâne valleys, this farm built in 1750 has benefited from two major transformations in 2007 and then in 2018.
The entire building was redesigned using the volume of this traditional farm to enlarge the spaces and modernize the interior architecture.
The living room is a mix of materials such as raw concrete, wood or polished concrete creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The 4m ceiling height accentuated by a built-in wall bookcase and a glass facade gives a feeling of grandeur and space, facing a panoramic view of the garden, the horses and the view overlooking the valley.
The sleeping area offers 2 bedrooms and their shower rooms on the ground floor as well as 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the 1st floor in the east wing.
A large TV lounge and games room provide a lovely relaxation area for spending pleasant moments with a splendid and unobstructed view.
On the west wing, a mezzanine has been converted into an office and gym but could easily become an additional bedroom or an artist's studio.
Extensive work on the building's envelope, along with the use of a high-performance heating system combined with 90 m² of photovoltaic panels, makes this farm energy-efficient. A power resale contract is secured until 2032, generating revenue exceeding the amount of expenses required to operate this large building. A high-tech home automation system ensures control of the house.
The outdoors, which has now become a part of our interior living spaces in its own right, brings an atmosphere to garden design that has never been so relevant.
There's nothing quite like a rustic decor that blends rustic, country chic, and English cottage styles. This garden lends a delicate touch to this green space by placing plants at the center of its design.
This green cocoon would not be complete without the development of a space for equines, as close as possible to nature where the well-being of the horses is the priority thanks to the creation of a free stabling with paddock paradise, a drained and stabilized paddock in shavings (17mx34m) and access to the parks.
The stable is equipped with a soft bed, a urinal and a heated automatic waterer.
A second building, the rural one, offers a dining area with feeders where distribution is computer-controlled. A curtain opens according to a schedule to give them access to the hay.
There are 3 grassy parks on the plot but also left to the good will of the municipality adjoining the stable.
The vehicle parking area consists of three covered parking spaces (with electric charging stations) as well as several outdoor parking spaces. There is an access right-of-way next to the stables for delivering fodder and removing manure.
