On the foundations of the village's rural founders, the village center has developed into a popular residential and service location. The building structure, which is rather dense compared to the agglomeration, has lost none of its former spatial and atmospheric qualities. The architect Peter Völlmin therefore had to plan the property at Schulgasse 7a with exactly the same volume as the former farm building as a replacement building in 1989.

The requirement to protect the townscape automatically divides the current building into two parts: a red main part with a strong presence as a corner building facing the already quiet street space and a deeper, bright connecting building with a cross gable and mainly facing the southern, private inner courtyard. The differentiated spatial program is integrated into the existing context with great care.

The practice's offices are separated from the residential part by a soundproof door and occupy the street corner on the first floor.

The centre of the house is the kitchen and the fireplace with tiled stove on the open second floor. This floor plan stretches in all four directions and the room is literally flooded with light.
A lift-and-slide door leads from the dining room to the 70m2 roof terrace covered with a pergola. The orientation towards the south-facing, quiet inner courtyard with its large chestnut treetops is ideal. The wide windows in the living room allow a sublime view of the streets of the village center. The recessed gallery ceiling gives the living and dining room a raised space with additional light from the roof windows. The primary structure consists of insulated double-shell exterior walls and reinforced concrete ceilings. The wooden windows have double glazing and are provided with special soundproofing towards the street. The interior fittings were also planned using high-quality materials and carried out by the interior design office Wohntip Sissach. All built-in cupboards, kitchen units and office furniture are individually made from fine solid wood. Skylights above the doors of the two lower floors transport light from the rooms into the hallway.
The uniform floor coverings (porphyry stone in the practice, clay tiles in the living area) give the rooms their special touch. The building is heated with underfloor heating, the energy source is a bivalent heating system (air-water heat pump with an additional oil burner for extremely low temperatures).

The inner courtyard with a chestnut tree and 4 parking spaces is connected to a lawn of around 200m² with old trees, flower beds and an open garden pavilion. Additional parking spaces are rented on the former community square in front of the house. Property 7a has a priority right to rent (PP on existing right of way, see details in the land register).

The constantly maintained building is in very good condition and does not require any urgent renovations. The property offers a lot of potential and, with its various possible uses, is interesting for different buyer groups.
