Achseten is a small district in the municipality of Frutigen in the canton of Bern. The house is located at an altitude of about 1,195 m above sea level and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape. In Achseten there are some traditional wooden houses that give the place a charming and rustic character. The nature around Achseten is breathtakingly beautiful. There are numerous hiking trails and mountain bike routes to explore. In Frutigen, 10 minutes away, you will find all services and grocery stores.

getting there
There are 2 ways to get there from Frutigen:
On the one hand, there is the direct route and the shorter route (5.7 km) via the old Adelbodenstrasse. On the other hand, you can use the Adelbodenstrasse in the Engstligental, which is a little more convenient but also almost 10 km further. You can also take the post bus to "Achseten-Kirche" or use the ski bus in winter.

Living quality
The chalet is a former holiday home with a separate apartment. It was most recently used as a youth hostel. It is very quiet and sunny in undisturbed privacy and has a wonderful view of the mountains and the valley. It is surrounded by nature and yet you can reach the Elsigen-Metsch ski center (Adelboden-Lenk ski area) in 5 minutes. The house was built in 1936 in chalet style. The property was completely renovated between 2002 and 2005. The pellet heating and the water pipes (own spring) were renovated and refurbished in the last 10 years. The house is in good condition. On the plot there is a parking space for 5 cars, a playground and a spacious terrace with access to the kitchen and living area. The room heights vary from 2 to 2.3 m. The house is divided into two units (9 rooms on 3 floors and a 3-room apartment on the ground floor). There is also a balcony on the 2nd floor. The house is located in the agricultural zone, but is no longer subject to the BGBB and can therefore also be purchased for residential use.
