A refuge with a breathtaking view and modern comfort. The Maiensäss "Geissschärma" is located in the Stafel between Untermutten and Obermutten and offers a magical view of the Albula Valley and the Lenzerheide, which can be enjoyed from the seating area in front of the Maiensäss.
The Maiensäss (living space approx. 77 m² and an additional 21 m² stable/storage room) was originally a stable with a kitchen-living room. It was converted into a holiday home in the 1980s, but has retained its original character. It was renovated in 2019. It is lovingly and comfortably furnished, ideal for a relaxed and restful holiday in a natural, quiet environment. Directly outside the window there is a fantastic view of the valley and the mountains.
On the upper floor there is the living area with the central tiled stove/fireplace, the new kitchen (dishwasher, stove with extractor, steamer/oven, refrigerator in the basement) and the dining area. On the mezzanine floor there is a wet room with toilet, WC and shower as well as a bedroom. The basement offers two further bedrooms as well as access to the stable/storage room.
The Maiensäss is heated with a tiled stove and a fireplace. Thanks to an electric infrared heater, the house has a base temperature of 8 degrees. This means that even on a winter day, when the tiled stove is lit twice, it is pleasantly warm. The house is on the land of the community pasture with suckler cows. During the summer holidays, the cows are on the alp. The ski lift can be reached from the house on skis/snowboards. The toboggan run is on the village street.
There are wooden benches on three sides of the house. There is a folding table on the valley side.
Parking: There is a space for loading/unloading directly in front of the house. The fenced parking lot (pasture area) is about 150 meters away. In summer you can drive your car right up to the house. In winter, at the parking lot about 150 meters away. Post bus stop in Stafel.
